Bathing suits? Already? February 17th. The official start of summer in Southern California. I had to laugh when I looked at the forecast for the upcoming week, 80° weather. After living in Utah for 3 years and experiencing snow until May, having this heat already is totally bittersweet. My friends are skiing and I’m headed to the beach. However, that means it’s time to get a head start on this season’s bathing suits! I stopped by Target with my mom to pick up some household items and was blown away with how trendy target has become. Not only do they have darling completely in style suits, they’re totally affordable! Can’t beat that!

Love this basic triangle color block suit. I’m not a fan of pink, as a color in general or in my wardrobe, however this vibrant coral with the lighter pink is wonderful.

This is another great version of a color block suit! I like having string tied bottoms because you’re able to adjust the tightness. I’ve learned after wearing a suit a few times the bottoms can tend to stretch out or get a bit baggy, so being able to adjust how tightly they fit is perfect! I also like the padded top on this one. I don’t know if you’ve ever struggled with your boobs falling out of your bathing suit when you actually try to swim, but this bra top keeps that from happening for me.

The third suit I picked up was this strappy colorful suit. Love the bright colors and the different stringy back and string accents on the bottoms. The racerback bathing suit style appears to be continuing from last year and into this year, but I’m certainly not complaining. I love it!

I recently had brunch at Mar’sel at the Terrenea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes; an absolutely beautiful resort that sits on the top of the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Brunch is such a wonderful meal. One, because breakfast is my absolute favorite meal, so I could eat it at anytime of the day and be perfectly happy. And two, you don’t have to be up early to have brunch with people. After all, anyone can appreciate a day or two of the week that we get to relish in sleeping in just a bit longer than normal.

I personally like to be comfortable in my clothes, whatever I’m wearing. I don’t like to feel like I can’t breath, or that people are staring at me because I look uncomfortable in my clothes. You want to feel confident in yourself, and wearing something you don’t feel comfortable in, is a recipe for feeling self-conscious the entire time you’re out.

That said, here’s my comfortable brunch style, that is both effortless and cute!

Hottest celebrity trend this winter? Ponchos! From TSwift to Rihanna, everyone’s wearing them. I’ve gotta say, I really like them! At first I felt kind of funny wearing one, but after figuring out just what to wear with my poncho I was in love with it. I want more in different colors and patterns! I get warm pretty easily, so having my arms exposed while keeping my torso warm is great for keeping me at the perfect body temperature.

I found this one in the clearance section at Nordstrom Rack, but I’ve seen them in most places like Target, Macy’s, H&M etc. For those of you still living in the cold weather for a few more months, I recommend finding one that fits your style!
